to Heart Support Australia
Heart Support Australia Limited has been operating for 20
years, providing free of charge services to communities all
over Australia including;
Ø
Support Information and Counselling to those
persons contemplating or recovering from cardiac surgery or
who suffer from heart disease or heart defects.
Ø
Support to the spouses, carers and families of
such persons
Ø
Assisting with the provision of local and
national rehabilitation and self management programs
Ø
Disseminating information and educating such
cardiac patients
Ø
Providing consultative arrangements for
consumer input for Government and non Government policy,
Councils, Advisory Panels and Forums
Ø
Establishing branches, regions and state or
territory executives in
Australian
States
, Territories and Protectorates
Ø
Raising funds in support of the company and to
make available funds for cardiothoracic surgical units,
coronary care units and cardiac research at branch level.
As the incidents of heart disease increases, the necessity
for an organisation such as Heart Support
Australia
also increases. We
require more resources which means we require more funds.
For the first time in twenty years, we are actively seeking
the assistance of all Australians to help us with our
organisation.
While research into heart disease
continues and many funds are utilized to assist in this
research, people all around the country continue to
experience heart events and this is where Heart Support
Australia
comes in. We are
there for you because we have been there ourselves.
We are there for you now and into the future, to
assist the more than 2 million Australians who suffer from
the effects of heart disease.

Training Heart Health Support Workers in counselling
skills to enable them to provide accurate
information, encouragement and support to cardiac patients

Self Management training to assist in reducing
the risk of further heart events.

Hospital visitations to provide further
information to heart patients and their carers and families.
·
Development, production and distribution of
self care programs for distribution to Cardiac
Rehabilitation programs and to rural and remote communities.

Exercise classes

Providing advanced cardiac support to rural
and remote communities
